Christopher J. Powers is an Emmy-nominated creative director, writer, and producer.

Currently, he holds the position of Creative Director at The Walt Disney Company, charged with the creative ideation, development, and execution of branded content — collaborating with the world’s top auto, tech, CPG, retail, and entertainment brands and talent to create authentic content that resonates on an emotional level.

His work includes on-air campaigns, original programming, digital and social initiatives, product and thematic integrations, and location-based events that challenge traditional advertising norms.

This is accomplished by leading internal and external creative production groups in the ideation, development, and execution of content.

Prior to this, Powers spent 9 years as the head of creative development for the ABC Digital Studio, where he produced scripted derivatives for ABC’s Ugly Betty, and live-streaming content for The Oscars and The CMA Awards.

Powers received an Emmy nomination for his writing work for LOST branded content, and in 2016 was awarded the Promax Gold award for writing and producing The Wonderful World of Disney for Target.

Prior to starting his professional career at Disney in 2005, Powers held positions at MTV, Oxygen Network, and Universal Studios.  Powers earned his BA in Entertainment Communications from the University of Central Florida.

In his spare time, Powers is an amateur perfumer at the Institute for Art and Olfaction.  His creative pursuits include typography, Los Angeles historic architecture, and interior design.
